Between the 2nd and 15th of December PhD students Andreas Dimitriou and Emmanouil Meramveliotakis will be hosted by Ana Riesgo’s Lab for intense training on transcriptomics. For the first time, Andreas and Emmanouil will have the chance to aquire theoretical and practical skills on how to use RNA isolation protocols, as well as on how to generate and further analyse RNA datasets.
During a six-week staff exchange visit, Víctor will work as part of the IPNA-CSIC research team (Brent Emerson, Carmelo Andújar and Paula Arribas) in order to gain knowledge and experience in field-sampling protocol and subsequent sample processing for metabarcoding analysis of soil mesofauna.
Since September 2018, Víctor is working at the Molecular Ecology and Evolution laboratory of UCY as a postdoctoral researcher. Within the iBioGen project, Víctor will work towards protocol unification and development of genomic-based biodiversity analysis in Cyprus.
