iBioGen workshop on metagenetic data analysis
(2 - 8 October 2019, Cyprus)
The iBioGen team is organising its first workshop on "Analysis of metagenetic data for macroecology", which will focus on processing large-scale DNA data from bulk specimen or eDNA samples. We offer a theoretical and practical "how-to-guide" course on metagenetic data analysis, starting from basic raw-data handling and gradually exploring several downstream applications under both an evolutionary and ecological framework. The course is designed for postgraduate students/researchers, interested in the use of novel high-throughput NGS technologies (metabarcoding and meta-mitogenomics) for biodiversity assessment at several hierarchical levels, from populations to communities to major evolutionary clades. Additionally, the iBioGen course offers a unique opportunity to personally interact with prominent evolutionary biologists and ecologists, who have developed many of the latest protocols and methodologies used in the analysis of metagenetic data for macroecology.
Apply until the 7th of June 2019. For more information follow the link to the iBioGen workshop website: https://www.metagenecol.eu/
